“Therefore, O best among the twice born, the highest perfection one can achieve by discharging the duties prescribed for his varna and ashrama is to satisfy Sri Hari” – Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.13

Sannyasi of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupada and Sannyas Guru of many Godbrothers. Srila Bhakti Gaurava Vaikhanas Maharaja a pandita from a family of brahmana raja gurus was perfected in several sadhanas and well known for mystical feats but it was not until the later part of his life he met with Srila Prabhupada in the Navadvip Dham Parikram on a boat crossing over to Godrum when he spat some masticated remains of betel into the water of the river Jalangi, upon seeing which, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati politely yet unequivocally pointed out, “ We worship this river as Sarasvati”. Immediately he surrendered at Srila Prabhupada´s lotus feet. He was sixty years old, and within days, without any further training or testing Srila Prabhupada gave him all three initiations at ones, Harinama, Diksha and Sannyas.
